The Greenleaf 2008 Spring Fling
March 10th, 2008 • Related • Filed Under
We’ve been trying to come up with something unique for our second annual Spring Fling Contest (formally the Heart Arbor Contest) and decided to stay with the outside theme. Our goals were to keep it simple; easy construction, ultra affordable delivered price and something you can use at the end of the contest. So introducing, the yet to be name miniature out building! Stay tuned for more contest details!

A friend emailed me about your Spring Fling contest but there was no info on how to order the kit: Winner’s Workshop. Thanks for any info.

I’m sorry I haven’t posted a link yet Lorna. You can find out more about the Spring Fling Contest at the Greenleaf Miniature Community. I will add a blog entry with the same info as sson as I can.

I’d call it THE CARRIAGE HOUSE…a perfect name for the construction style (I know… we breed horses and have Antique carriages).

Here’s the cool thing; if you win first place, we’ll rename it to Linda’s Carriage House! It’s true, to make this years contest extra interesting, we’re going to name this new building after the winner, so if you want to call it a Carriage House rather than a Workshop, that works for us!
Good Luck!

I agree with Linda. The dollhouse with no name should be called the Carriage House. The construction has that Coach House or Carriage House look.

My first reaction was Chapel in the Woods - it would make a great outdoor scene.

If you have ever visited Colonial Williamsburg, you will notice that many, if not most, of their houses do not have indoor kitchens. This was done to protect the house in case of fire. Or, if you have ever been to the Tidewater area during the summer, from any additional heat/humidity!
